CALIFORNIA COLLEGE OF THE ARTS

PROJECT

CCA’s new campus extension includes 90,000 square feet of new construction. At the heart of the design are three striking pavilions, poised to emerge from the second-floor concrete podium. These pavilions boast a pioneering construction technique, utilizing compressed timber structures that not only evoke a sense of warmth and natural beauty but also exemplify sustainability.  The design includes heavy maker spaces for ceramics, glass blowing, metal arts, print making and textiles.  In addition to significant underground plumbing scope, we also installed compressed air and oxygen lines with centralized compressors housed in our complex mechanical rooms.  The project is seeking LEED Platinum Certification
